Open Letter to the White House

It has been approximately three years since the Taliban took power, following the Doha Agreement and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.

Under the rule of this fanatic, ethnocentric, and self-centered group, all institutions of the Republic have collapsed.

The people are mired in misery, living under oppression, suppression, discrimination, and injustice. Poverty, unemployment, and hopelessness are rampant, and millions of our compatriots have become refugees and displaced persons. Women, who constitute half of society, have been deprived of all human, civil, political, and social rights. Schools and universities have been closed to girls. Freedom of expression has vanished, and any criticism or opposition to the Taliban regime is harshly suppressed and punished.

The most dangerous programs of the Taliban are their cultural hostility, misogyny, and promotion of extremism and Talibanization. While thousands of schools and educational institutions have been closed to the children of this country, thousands of Taliban madrassas have been established and are actively operating across Afghanistan. In these so-called Islamic schools, children are subjected to military training, brainwashing, and indoctrination with extremist ideologies. Their sinister and evil goal is to promote extremism and expand future terrorist activities beyond Afghanistan's borders. Furthermore, thousands of terrorists, including al-Qaeda, ISIS, and groups opposing neighboring countries, have gathered in Afghanistan, establishing secure bases under Taliban protection and planning future activities. This undoubtedly poses a serious threat to global peace and security. It is also likely that future terrorist incidents, similar to the 9/11 attacks, will be organized from these bases.

Given the aforementioned points, Afghanistan has become an open-air prison where no individual feels safe. It should be noted that as long as the doors of schools and universities—these centers of knowledge and enlightenment—remain closed, ignorance and illiteracy will spread, and society will be led blindly into the darkness of medieval extremism. Consequently, the enemies of knowledge and understanding exploit this chaotic situation to recruit uneducated individuals easily for their evil and terrorist activities. It must be acknowledged that the Afghan people have endured various forms of oppression and psychological and social pressure. However, they cannot tolerate the deprivation of their children's right to education, which has lasted for more than a thousand days, without any religious, legal, or scientific justification. Therefore, they are deeply concerned about the dark future of their children. Despite the repeated and continuous demands of the Afghan people, the current illegitimate Taliban rulers ignore this rightful and legitimate request of the people. Unfortunately, in such dire and crisis-ridden conditions, the world also does not heed the voice of our oppressed people. Human rights organizations limit themselves to reporting, and the repeated meetings of the United Nations, the issuance of resolutions, declarations, sanctions, and condemnations have so far been ineffective and have not alleviated the suffering. The Afghan people are therefore desperate and deeply troubled by this chaotic situation. It is now evident to everyone, and the Afghan people are fully aware, of who stands behind the Taliban's plans and which entities and countries provide them with weekly dollar aid to sustain their rule.

Therefore, the Afghan people look to their last source of hope, the United States of America, which claims to support justice, freedom, democracy, and human rights globally. They sincerely request the President of that country to help change the current situation in Afghanistan, especially to reopen the doors of schools and universities for girls and restore women's rights. They urge pressure on the Taliban, this criminal group, and human rights violators to comply with the will of the Afghan people. Otherwise, if this fundamental and vital demand of the Afghan people is not adequately addressed, the foreign policy of the U.S. regarding the support of justice, democracy, and human rights will be questioned, potentially damaging the global reputation and prestige of the United States in the long term.

The Afghan people hope for a change in the current situation in their country, to regain control of their destiny, restore all civil rights and freedoms, and regain their rightful place as a free, independent country and an equal member of the global human community.

With respect,

Taliban accuses international organizations

The deputy for youth in the Taliban's cultural ministry claims that international organizations have entered Afghanistan with intentions to steal. He also alleges that foreign charitable organizations like the United Nations squander and misuse aid.

This marks the first instance of a senior Taliban official openly expressing disagreement with international organizations over aid matters.

While the Taliban accuses international organizations of stealing, the people of Afghanistan also blame the Taliban for misusing the financial support provided by the USA on a weekly basis.

Following the Taliban's second takeover of Afghanistan and the subsequent economic crisis in the summer of 2021, the United States began sending approximately $40 million weekly in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

Many Afghans believe that these financial aids are not intended for the people but rather to bolster the Taliban's financial foundation and support their existence.

If these aids are genuinely  for the people of Afghanistan it should be clea and fairly distributed. Othewise the peopel of Afghanistan have the righ to cleam that mentiond aids are just for Taliban, for their strengthing and also for extending  of their power in the country.

A short and interesting story

Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there was a man named Ahmad. He was an Air Force Officer who lived in a beautiful province called Balkh. Ahmad was a very disciplined man and loved to challenge himself. One day, he decided to test his limits by going on a very strange and tough diet.

Ahmad began his diet and he continued for forty long days. During this period, he only ate one almond every five days and drank a glass of water every three days. With time, Ahmad grew weaker and weaker until he lost all the flesh on his body, and only his skin and bones were left.

Despite his weak condition, Ahmad continued going to work every day, and nobody knew about his diet or his weakness because he didn't say anything to his friends or colleagues.

After forty days, Ahmad finally broke his diet and started eating normally again. He gradually regained his strength and returned to his previous condition.

Moral of the story: while it's essential to challenge ourselves and push our limits, we should also be careful and not take things too far. It's always best to seek advice and support from our loved ones and not keep things to ourselves.

Roznigar the continuation of Rozgar

Welcome to Roznigar, a news-, culture-, science-, political and social online newspaper!

The online newspaper is the successor and continuation of Rozgar, a bilingual newspaper that was established in 2005.

The newspaper was initially printed in two languages, Farsi and Norwegian.

I was responsible for Rozgar as founder and editor. In 2007, the newspaper was converted into an online newspaper with the same name and the same strategy. As of today, the newspaper is changing its title to Roznigar, and can be visited at roznigar.com. Content is planned in Farsi, Norwegian and English.

It should be said that Rozgar sits on a library of close to 1,000 texts regarding current news, culture, science, politics, history and art, in the form of articles, reports, poems etc. These has been written by many well-known authors, journalists, archaeologists, historians and analysts from around the world, both from Afghanistan and Norway.

Due to a number of technical and financial challenges as well as the spread of the coronavirus, Rozgar cannot continue on the same domain as before. We are therefore working to gain access to archive texts for transfer to the new website.

Roznigar is a national, regional and international independent online newspaper. It must be updated daily in three languages, Norwegian, Farsi and English.

The editors of the newspaper ask relevant and interested writers, especially those who have collaborated in the past, to contribute with input.

Roznigar is a free and independent medium that will be available to everyone with news and current information from a neutral point of view. We do not bind ourselves politically, socially, religiously, linguistically or by race. This is a newspaper by everyone, for everyone!

We look forward to developing the concept with the help and support of our readers.
